The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding is to confirm an agreement between the Employer and the Institute on the further application of the alternative leave transfer provision in paragraph 15.07(d) for workers classified in grade UA and converted to group MG, as well as the reimbursement of recognized annual professional affiliation contributions for members of the AFS bargaining unit converted into group MG. (a) where the rates of pay referred to in Annex “A” have a date of entry into force before the date of signature of the collective agreement, the Technical Commission shall develop all agreements and documents necessary to support the implementation of an EEIG during the next round of collective bargaining. This work shall be completed within one year of signature. During a series of periodic meetings, the Technical Commission issues preliminary recommendations for consideration by the Steering Committee on the following topics: deliberations should begin after the signing of the collective agreement. The agreements announced Tuesday involve members of the Professional Institute of the Public Service (PIPSC), the Association of Canadian Financial Officers (ACFO) and a local chapter of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
